Login: | Rule considerations moving forwardHi All, The senior Glos squash committee met yesturday to discuss a few rule contentions that have been brought to our attention towards the latter part of the autumn season and we have come to some concluding thoughts. We are keen to promote trust and moral attitudes towards the league and fixtures. Therefore, we feel there isn't a need to enforce any rule changes mid way through. However, team captains need to notify the opposing team captain, and cc Mark Toseland in to the communication if they intend to bring up or down players into their team for that fixture in question. The opposing team can agree or disagree to this depending if they offer considerable circumstances. It is proposed that teams avoid bringing players down from higher leagues in a rearranged fixture where their higher teams have no fixture on the same evening. Also, where possible, avoid moving players across within a division, this should be a last resort and all other up/down options must be exhausted and demonstrated to the Glos Squash committee first before pulling across. The key here, please promote a clear line of communication with each club/team captain and make sure Mark Toseland is copied into the communication trail. if the communication trail has not happened, penalties may be enforced for the team bringing in the non-regular player and points compensated for the opposing team. kind regards Mark Toseland |
