Match report

Simon Boucher (5) played solidly to win in 3 against Tony Parker, giving away 5 points in the second game but only 1 in the first and third combined. Seamus Parker (3) also capitalised on consistent squash to win in four, playing with good intensity in the fourth to secure a win. Dave Norton (4) didn't quite manage to regoup from going down 2-1 to make a comeback (in order to avenge his past defeat) against Lawrence Barraclough, who hung tough and stayed in every rally to claim CLC's only win. Sacha Cooper (2) battled hard against Leon Mason and, despite not being able to convert match balls in the fourth game, came through with a spectacular forehand cross court nick to win 11-8 in the fifth. Tony Richmond (1) won the first 2 games but Andy Gayler killed loose balls and took charge of the third and fourth to level the score before Tony mentally regrouped and took the fifth. An 18-8 overall win on points which now sees Stroud A sitting in second place in the Prem B table, just behind East Glos D. Next week we take on CSC A away.
