    Match report

First up, third string Seamus played a steady game to claim victory in three against Gary Burton. Second string Sacha Cooper also played good basic line and length squash to win in three against Mitch Crawford. Simon Boucher at fifth string trickle boasted his way to victory in a solid three game win versus Jon Plant, before Dave Norton contested a tougher opponent, losing the first game before finding his form to close out in four against Simon Taylor. First string Tony Richmond started well to take the first game, then lost a closely fought second game tie-breaker. The third and fourth games went to Johnny Carne in a match full of long rallies and fine margins. Stroud won 18-4, temporarily claiming top spot in the table before other results were logged, and next week take on Wycliffe B.
