    Match report

Home team CLC first played their 3rd string Izak Heys against returning Stroud teenager Seamus Parker. A tight first game was then followed by a more comfortable 2nd game for Seamus, with a poor start to a looser 3rd game going the way of Izak. Seamus mopped up with a return to steadier courtcraft to win 3-1. Next on, a well-fought 2nd string battle between ex-Wycliffe and now Stroud regular Sacha Cooper who nudged past Leon Mason to claim victory in 4 games. The overall win was clinched in 4 games by 1st string Tony Richmond, winning against fast improving CLC captain Andy Gayler. The 4th string battle of the giants saw James Telford adding icing to the cake in a 3-0 win over Lawrence Barraclough. 5th string Dave Norton increased the points tally further, despite sometimes crowded middle-of-the-court exchanges in the third game, ultimately defeating Jack Neave 3-1. Stroud A are happy to earn maximum points in a 5-0 match victory.
